Rangers ace positions himself for last-ditch Ibrox exit as update emerges in last 24hrs – report

Glen Kamara is still on course to join Leeds United from Rangers ahead of the transfer window closing, according to Dean Jones.

The reputable journalist told GIVEMESPORT on Tuesday [29 August] that Kamara is still eager to make the move to Elland Road.

Leeds have until 11pm on Friday [1 September] to finalise a deal for the Finland international.

Jones said: “I know there has been a bit of an issue, reports over the price not being agreed, but the player is in a position where he is ready to make this switch.

“My information, as of Monday night, was that there were no issues and the negotiations were ongoing, so there is still real promise of that deal.”

Leeds have been trying to get a £5million deal over the line for Kamara [The Herald], yet there has been no official confirmation with just three days of the window left to run.

Kamara still has two years to go on his Ibrox contract, but that is still a decent fee for a player who has been ostracised by manager Michael Beale.

The 27-year-old was previously reported to have agreed personal terms with Leeds [Fabrizio Romano], so there is uncertainty over what exactly is still being negotiated.

Rangers

As is the way in the current market, it may well be that Rangers and Leeds are haggling over any possible add-ons, which can often make up a fair chunk of transfer fees.

Either way, this latest update from Jones suggests there is nothing to fear and that all three parties are working on completing a deal.

In other Rangers news, Cyriel Dessers believes his side have a “massive advantage” ahead of facing PSV.
