The Englishman said he speaks to Rangers board members regularly, as he is in contact with CEO James Bisgrove on a daily basis, while he also speaks to Chairman John Bennett at least two times a week.
Beale shared he is aware that every manager needs to win games to stay in the job, with seven games in 22 days set to provide him the opportunity to get back to winning ways.
Speaking to Glasgow Live ahead of this weekend’s clash with St Johnstone, Beale revealed: “I speak to James Bisgrove every day. I speak to John Bennet and other members of the board at least two times a week as normal.”
He then went on to explain: “Listen, I don’t need assurances. I’m part of a plan in terms of where we’re going as a club. It’s something that I’m fully aware and involved in and ultimately a football manager needs to win games of football and the last two we didn’t win.
“So we need to get back to winning and we’ve got seven games in 22 days now, so there’s a good opportunity for us to do that.”
He knows what he needs to do
Beale is obviously aware of the pressure that surrounds him at the moment but is aware he needs to improve and should have a good idea of where that improvement can be found. Admitting you need to improve is often the first step towards making things better.
However, Beale has always spoken a good game. It’s delivering on the promises he makes where he can often fall short, and that has never been so clear as this season. There have been multiple statements made with no follow-up, so it remains to be seen whether this will be different.
It’s all well and good acknowledging the need to win games, but actually getting out on the pitch and earning the three points is an entirely different story.
Pressure has ramped up on Beale, and nothing other than a perfect record over his next few games could see Rangers pull the trigger. The boss is a dead man walking as things stand, and it will be up to him whether he makes a revival or suffers a similar fate to his predecessor.
