Ibrox Exclusive: Rangers three-man signing plan revealed

The Ibrox club want to sign a new left-back, central midfielder and striker to their squad ahead of the 2024-25 season.

It will be Philippe Clement’s first summer window in charge of the side after he succeeded Michael Beale in October 2023.

Gers are currently leading Celtic by two points at the top of the Scottish Premiership table and are on track to qualify for the Champions League next season when it changes format to the Swiss model.

As revealed by Football Insider, Champions League qualification would provide a £20million boost to the transfer budget at Rangers this summer.

It is understood that Rangers are targeting a new left-back because Borna Barisic is poised to leave the club this summer when his contract expires.

The future of Ridvan Yilmaz is also in doubt after he was heavily linked with an exit in the January window.

Rangers could also find themselves short in midfield with both Ryan Jack and John Lundstram out of contract in the summer.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (11 March) that talks with Lundstram over a new contract have stalled.

Kemar Roofe could also depart Ibrox as a free agent this summer when his deal expires, freeing up space in Clement’s squad to invest in a centre-forward.
